Two floors of 30,000 SF, interconnected by new limestone tiled wall, New Korean Consulate General of NY finally got together with its public service division under one roof. Now located in the block that easily accessible by public transporation in the Uppereast of Manhattan. Traditional Korean themed design elements were carefully reviewed and selected, revived, and successfully inplemented to provide a warm hearted greeting to all consuls and visitors. Details were taken from the HAN-OK, traditional korean house and were refined to enhance its beauty in modern language. However, all materials were manufactured and furnished in local. First impression will be at the elevator door and hallway. Visitors can not miss where they go without checking the directory. Not necessarily at all! Once arrived at this floor, their cultural experience will begin at the door tip, one at a time.
